Event Tech Support

Overview

Event Tech Support is available to Black Hills State University faculty, staff, students, and guests hosting events on campus. When submitting a request for assistance, please specify the type of support you need (such as sound, video, or other technical services) and include the date and time of your event.

Please ensure your request is submitted only after you have received confirmation of your room reservation, and at least five business days prior to your event to allow adequate preparation time. If you have not yet reserved a room and would like to do so, please click here for more information.

If you need assistance with event setup, such as arranging tables and chairs, cleaning, or other related tasks, please fill out the Work Request form through Facilities Services here.

Depending on the type of support required, we may already have an article to assist. 


If none of the articles above are able to offer support, please click on Request Assistance in the upper right. This will bring you to a form that will request the following information, anything with a * is required:  

  • Your Name, Email, and Department *
    • Auto-fills if you are signed into Jacket Connect.
    • Guests are not required to include department. 
  • Event Name *
    • Title of the event.
  • Description *
    • Please briefly describe the type of support/assistance the event will require.
  • Location *
    • Building Name and Room Number 
  • Event Date/Time *
    • When the event starts and when it is expected to end.   
  • Event Setup Date/Time
    • If the event is being setup before it starts, please list that here.
