New Software Purchase Request

Overview

This service is for Faculty and Staff to start the process to request software to be purchased for a BHSU-owned device. Once submitted, Network and Computer Services (NCS) will review your software to ensure that it meets cs (T&Cs) and is able to be purchased by Black Hills State University. This form should be submitted for any new software and includes software that is web-based, cloud-based, SaaS (software as a service), a mobile app, or a subscription. 

The process for purchasing new software can take time as IT needs to ensure the Terms and Conditions are acceptable and may need to be modified with the vendor. Please allow several weeks if T&Cs need to be neogotiated.

Policies and Procedures

Terms and Conditions Negotiation:
If the software does not comply with South Dakota's Terms and Conditions, Network and Computer Services may contact the company to negotiate the Terms and Conditions. If this takes place, this process may take up to several weeks.
