Overview
This service is for Faculty and Staff to start the process of requesting authorization to purchase a software for BHSU-owned devices. Once the request is submitted, Network and Computer Services (NCS) will review the software to ensure it complies with the State of South Dakota's Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) before it can be purchased by Black Hills State University.
This form must be submitted for any new software purchases, including web-based, cloud-based, SaaS (software as a service), mobile applications, and subscription-based software.
Please be aware that the software approval and purchasing process may take time, as Terms and Conditions must be reviewed for compliance with South Dakota's requirements. If negotiations are required, please allow several weeks for the process to be completed.

Terms and Conditions Negotiation:
If the software does not comply with South Dakota's Terms and Conditions, Network and Computer Services may contact the company to negotiate the Terms and Conditions. If this takes place, this process may take up to several weeks.
