Reset Password

Issue/Question

I forgot my password.

What is my password?

Environment

  • User Accounts
  • D2L/SNAP/Email access

Resolution

Please open a web browser and go to: https://account.bhsu.edu Click on "Forgotten Password,", enter your Last Name and DOB (MMDDYYYY), and click "Search" Select "Email Verification

Note: If an error is received, your alternate email address may not be in our system yet and you will need to provide one so it can be updated by the BHSU Help Desk. A verification code will be sent to your alternate email address listed. The email will come from BHSUHelpDesk@bhsu.edu with the subject line "BHSU Forgot Password Verification"

Note: The email will display your BHSU email address, which is typically firstname.lastname@yellowjackets.bhsu.edu Either click the link in the email or copy and paste the security code into the box and select "Check Code" Enter a new and confirmed password (be sure to read the requirements listed below)

  1. Password is case sensitive
  2. Must be at least 15 characters long
  3. Must not include part of your name or user name
  4. Must include at least 3 of the following types of characters
    1. Upper case (ABCD)
    2. Lower case (abcd)
    3. Number (1234)
    4. Symbol (!@#$)

Click "Change Password" A progress bar will appear and run until the new password has been accepted and successfully changed. 

Note: The newly created password will not expire
