Environment
Cause
Birth of a child, marriage, divorce, new employment, or child becoming too old to be on your insurance. Any change that is required to be made to your current dependents outside of the open enrollment period.
Resolution
- These changes were formerly called "Family Status Changes." They are now called "Life Events."
- All requests must go through the Bureau of Human Resources (BHR) website.
- Visit the South Dakota Bureau of Human Resources website.
- Use the links on the BHR website to find information about creating a Life Event.
- Once you have read through the instructions, you will click on "Employee Space" and follow the step-by-step process.
- You will be asked to provide proof (i.e. marriage certificate, birth certificate, divorce decree, etc.)
- All email correspondents pertaining to your Life Event will come from noreply-cloudnotification@infor.com. Keep these for your records.
