W2 Access and W4 Changes

Electronic Access of W-2 and Updating your W-4 exemptions.

Cause

If you have opted-in to electronic access of your W-2, the form will not be mailed to you. You can also update your W-4 exemptions and additional withholding through the Employee Dashboard on the Ellucian Experience page. 

Resolution

W2 Electronic Access: 

  1. Visit Ellucian Experience.
  2. Select “Employee Dashboard”.

  4. In the Pay Information section, select the drop down box for "Taxes," select "W-2 Wage and Tax Statement." Select the Year and BHSU, then click on "Display."

  • If you need to access a prior years W-2, System Payroll Center now has a TDX Ticketing system set up for W-2 Reprint requests. Employees (including current and past), can click on the below link, enter in their information, and request a W-2 Reprint.
  • SDBOR Payroll CenterThis will bring you to the SPC webpage within the Board of Regents website. Once there, click on the W-2 Reprint Request button at the bottom half of the page. From there, click the Request W-2 (Dark Blue Box). If you have any questions or need assistance with this request, please contact SD State Payroll ​​​​​​.​

W4 Updates:

  1. Visit Ellucian Experience.
  2. Select Employee Dashboard.
  3. In the Pay Information section, click on Taxes, and select W-4 Employee's Withholding Allowance Certificate.
  4. From this screen, you can update the information yourself.
  5. Employee W-4 federal tax withholding form showing filing status, dependents, and additional withholding details.If you are adding additional withholding from your pay check: 
    1. The additional withholding amount will be pulled from your pay check every month. Do not enter the total for the year.
