How do I change the contact information associated with the Campus Alert System?
Can I change how I receive notifications from the Campus Alert System?
Environment
Cause
I have a new cell-phone number.
I have a new personal email address.
Resolution
While managing your account within the Campus Alert System, you will be able to change your contact information, set up how you'd like to receive notifications by setting priority level, and choose to opt-in to receive notifications about other Universities within SDBOR. Please keep in mind that it is your responsibility to ensure your contact information remains up to date. If you get a new phone number, or email address, please make sure to update the Campus Alert System so you're able to stay informed during the event of an emergency on Campus.
Please follow the steps below to learn how to manage your account:

- Once signed in, You'll be able to see an overview of your contact information.
If anything looks incorrect you'll need to scroll down to the bottom and click on Edit
- Altering Delivery Methods, Contact Information, and Notification Priority Levels:
- While changing your Contact Information, you can click on the up and down arrow next to the contact method to change the priority level associated with that method.
- If you don't want to receive Notifications through a specific method, you can abstain from submitting information, but some contact information is required, and cannot be removed.
- If some Contact Information needs to be changed, but the box is grayed out and you're unable to change it, Please reach out to the BHSU Help Desk.
- Opt-in to Other Universities:
- If you would like to receive notifications about Emergencies happening at another University participating within SDBOR, you can select Yes to Opt-in.
- If you are a current Student or Employee with BHSU, or any other SDBOR University, you are not allowed to Opt-Out of the Campus Alert System.
- If you are not a current Student or Employee, and would like to Opt-out of BHSU's Campus Alert System, Please reach out to the BHSU Help Desk and include the contact information that is still receiving Notifications. This is so that we can remove your specific contact information from our emailing list.
- Once you are confident that you have made all the necessary changes and would like to save it, you'll need to click on Save at the bottom.
If you didn't make any changes, and would like to back out, Click on Cancel or close out of the tab
