How do I set up Buzz Card Mobile?

Cause

I'm new a new Student, Faculty, or Staff member on campus and would like to set up Buzz Card Mobile.

Resolution

Before you are able to get Buzz Card Mobile set up, you will need to submit a photo for your Buzz Card.
If you have not already done so, please check your email for instructions: 

  • Search your email inbox for subject line: "Submit Your Photo For Your Student ID (Buzz Card)"
  • Check your junk email folder if you don't see it
  • If you can't find it, please contact BuzzCard@BHSU.edu

After you have submitted your Buzz Card Photo, you may need to wait up to a few business days before you are able to set up Buzz Card Mobile.

To start with setting up Buzz Card Mobile, you'll need to install the Transact eAccounts Application.
Which can be Installed from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

    • Signed into iCloud
    • If two devices are used, both must be signed into same iCloud account
  • Android Phone
    • Version 6.0 or later
    • NFC-enabled device capable of supporting Google Wallet or Samsung Wallet
  • Samsung (US Versions with Android S or later)
    • Galaxy S Series – S20 or later
    • Galaxy Note Series – Note20
    • Galaxy Z Series – Z Flip 5G, Fold 5G, Z Flip 2, Fold 2 or later
    • Galaxy A Series – A53
    • Note: This feature may not work on:
      • S20 FE 5G models
      • Galaxy A71 5G
      • Galaxy Fold
      • Galaxy Note10, Note10+, Note10+ 5G
      • Galaxy S10, S10+, S10e, S10 5G, S10 Lite
      • Galaxy Z Flip
      • International versions of all devices
  • Find Device Info
    • Go to Settings > About phone > Product Name
  • eAccounts App


Apple ID
Signed into iCloud. If two devices are used, both must be signed into same iCloud account.

Android Phone
Version 6.0 or later; NFC enabled device capable of supporting Google Waller or Samsung Wallet.

Samsung

The United States versions of the following eSE enabled devices with Android S or later OS:

Galaxy S Series – S20 or later
Galaxy Note Series – Note20
Galaxy Z Series – Z Flip 5G, Fold 5G, Z Flip 2, and Fold 2 or later
Galaxy A Series – A53

*Note: This feature may not work on S20 FE 5G models, Galaxy A71 5G, Galaxy Fold, Galaxy Note10, Galaxy Note10+, Galaxy Note10+ 5G, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy S10+, Galaxy S10e, Galaxy Z Flip and on international versions of all devices.

You can find your device information by going to Settings > About phone > Product Name

Download from Apple App Store or Google Play Store by searching for "Transact eAccounts" (red icon)

Transact eAccounts - Getting Set-up Guides:

Depending on your Device, the steps you will need to take to get Buzz Card Mobile set up may look slightly different.
Please make sure to click into the appropriate guide for your device.


+ Apple 

  1. Tap this Link, or head to the Apple App Store and search "Transact eAccounts"
  2. Tap on Get

     
  3. After it is Done Installing - Open it up and tap on Next until prompted to tap on Get Started

  4. After tapping on Get Started, search up "SOUTH DAKOTA"
    and then tap on South Dakota DSU-SDSU-USD-NSU-BHSU-SDSMT and then tap on BHSU

  5. After tapping on BHSU - sign in with your BHSU credentials and approve the sign in attempt with DUO.

     
  6.  After Signing in, Tap on Add to Apple Wallet:
    (Please keep in mind this process may take up to a few minutes)
    1. After Tapping Add to Apple Wallet, tap on I Understand
    2. Then Select if you'd like to Add the Buzz card to your iPhone or Apple Watch
    3. After selecting your Device, you will be prompted to confirm the displayed name is yours, if so tap on Next
    4. It will now take a moment to load before prompting you to Agree to the Terms and Conditions.
    5. After tapping on Agree it'll load for a moment before prompting you to tap Done,
      Once you tap Done, you should be good to go!

  7. If you would like to add the Buzz Card to both your iPhone and Apple Watch, repeat step 6 again for the other device. 

+ Android 

Before You Start Verify the NFC Chip on your phone is Enabled with-in the Settings menu. NFC settings can be found in different areas of the Settings menu, depending on your device. A common location is Connected Devices>Connection Settings. (If not found there, use the Search option on the top right to double-check.)

  1. Tap this Link, or head to the Google Play Store and search "Transact eAccounts"
  2. Tap on Install 

     
  3. After it is Done Installing - Open it up and swipe left on the screen until prompted to tap on Get Started

     
  4. After tapping on Get Started, search up "SOUTH DAKOTA"
    and then tap on South Dakota DSU-SDSU-USD-NSU-BHSU-SDSMT and then BHSU

     
  5. After tapping on BHSU - sign in with your BHSU credentials and approve the sign in attempt with DUO

     
  6. After Signing in, Tap on Add to Wallet:
    (Please keep in mind this process may take up to a few minutes)
    1. After Tapping Add to Wallet, 
    2. Select if you'd like to use Google or Samsung Wallet
      (This Guide uses Google Wallet, please keep in mind that Sumsung Wallet may look slightly different)
    3. Then tap on I Understand
    4. It will then prompt you to Accept the Terms and Conditions 
    5. After tapping on Accept it'll then take a moment to load before prompting you to tap Accept & continue
    6. After tapping on Accept & continue - It'll then take another moment to load before it is ready to go within your Wallet 
    7. After it is done loading, you can tap on View in Wallet and you should be good to go!
