Game console needs a NAT type change for some online features to work
Some online features are not working while gaming, such as live chat
Environment
- Dorms
- Campus Apartments
- Ethernet/wired connection
- Gaming device (XBOX, PlayStation, PC, Nintendo Switch, etc.)
Cause
The port is on a restricted network.
Resolution
Contact the Help Desk and request a NAT type change. Provide the following details:
- Building
- Room number
- Device type
- MAC address of the device
- Error message
