Can I install Microsoft Office with my school email?

How do I install Word, PowerPoint, Excel, on my personal computer?

Environment

Cause

Needing desktop version of Microsoft Office on personal computers.

Resolution

How To Download:

1. Open and log into Office 365 online with your BHSU credentials.
   
   
    
2. In the upper right-hand corner, select the circle with your initials inside.
   
   
    
3. From the drop-down, select "View Account"
   
   
    
4. Select "Office Apps" from side panel OR scroll until you see "Office Apps" and select "MANAGE"
   
   
    
5. Click the 'Install Office' Button to download the entire Office 365 suite. This could look like either images below.
   
   
   
   
    
6. At the very bottom of your screen you will see ‘OfficeSetup.exe’. Once this is fully downloaded, double-click on it, and select yes.
   
   
    
7. It will take time to fully download. Do not go offline during this time.
   • **Note** BHSU-ran computers should already have Microsoft Office suite downloaded. Search ‘Word’ on your laptops task bar to see if you have it. If it is the 2016 version, you are using an out-of-date version and it would be best if you could arrange a time to let the Help Desk update this for you.

**Note** You will not find this option on Chrome books, because Chrome books do not support Microsoft office.
