Downloading Microsoft Office

Issue/Question

Can I install Microsoft Office with my school email?
How do I install Word, PowerPoint, Excel, on my personal computer?
How do I install the Office 365 suite. 

Environment

Personal Computers  

Device Operating Systems:

  • Windows OS
  • MacOS

Cause

I would like to install Office 365 onto my personal device for school.

Resolution

With your BHSU account, you will be able to use your credentials to sign into Office.com and use the Office 365 suite online, or install it onto your personal device. Installing the Office 365 suite onto your personal computer grants access to it's applications while offline. 

Office 365 - How to Install:

  1. Sign in with your BHSU credentials here: My Microsoft 365 profile
     
  2. Once signed in, click on Apps & Devices along the left hand side of the page  

     
  3. Then click on Install Office, this will start downloading the Office 365 Installer for your Computer's Operating System

     
  4. Once the Installer is done downloading, locate the installer within the Downloads Folder and run the Installer and follow the installation prompts.
     
  5. Once it is Installed, open up an Office 365 application, and sign in with your BHSU credentials when prompted.
