- You would like information about the Residential Standards of Living at BHSU.
Resolution
The University's Student Code of Conduct applies to all students of South Dakota Board of Regents institutions. Additionally, all residential students and their visitors must comply with the Residential Standards of Living (Residence Life Policies and Procedures). The residential Standards of Living outline what is expected of them, what they can expect, and what responsibilities they carry as residential students and as members of a community.
The Residential Standards of Living are in the BHSU Student Handbook, starting on page 41.
Under the concept of Joint Responsibility, all individuals present in a residential room, apartment, or suite where and when University policies are violated are subject to documentation and judicial action. Residential students are responsible for offenses that may occur in their room, whether or not they are present at the time.
It is important that all residential students read and understand what is expected of them in the Residential Standards of Living.
