Email

  • Once your hiring paperwork is complete, it will take some time for your Black Hills State University (BHSU) email to be generated. 
  • When it is ready, you will receive your email information from the Human Resources (HR) office.
  • All official communication, including with students, occurs via BHSU email.
  • Access to Email, D2L & other BHSU Resources

 

Textbook - Textbook Adoption

  • Before the semester begins, all requests for textbooks, e-books, and course material should be submitted to the BHSU bookstore.
    • Depending upon when you are hired, you might receive an email from the bookstore with a link to the textbook adoption page, offering several options (physical book, eBook, etc.).
      • There likely will be an eBook available that is significantly cheaper than a physical book.
  • For assistance with adding an e-book and/or courseware links to your D2L course, contact our D2L Administrator, Anne Stevens (Anne.Stevens@bhsu.edu).
     
  • If you have not received an email from the bookstore, email Greg (gregory.scholz@bhsu.edu), our Textbook Manager.

 

Course Syllabus

  • Your college Administrative Assistant will send you a previous course syllabus and the latest Academic Affairs course syllabus template.
    • If you have not received one, please email your college's Administrative Assistant. 
  • You will receive a few emails from Prasanthi Pallapu (Prasanthi.Pallapu@bhsu.edu), our Instructional Designer, with several resources.
  • If you are teaching an online course, watch for more information about the MANDATED South Dakota Board of Regents online course review process and requirements.
