Cause
You would like information about the Student Code of Conduct at BHSU and at a South Dakota Board of Regents (SDBOR) institution.
Resolution
As a student at BHSU, by enrolling in classes, you’ve agreed to follow and be held accountable to the BHSU Student Code of Conduct and the SDBOR Student Code of Conduct.
It is important that all students read and understand the Student Code of Conduct.
While the Student Code of Conduct provides guidelines and expectations that govern students’ behavior, it also outlines the Conduct Adjudication process once an allegation of misconduct has been identified.
If you are involved in a potential violation of the Student Code of Conduct, keep in mind:
- The Code outlines the expectations of living and learning while a BHSU student.
- The Code focuses on educational outcomes and community standards.
You have various campus resources to guide you through the Code of Conduct:
- Director of Residence Life for Residential Judicial Issues, 605-642-6464
- Dean of Students for all other Judicial Issues, 605-642-6080
