How to Create and Submit Panopto Videos for D2L Assignments and Discussions

How do I create and submit a Panopto video for a D2L assignment or discussion post?

Resolution

1. Go to your D2L assignment folder or discussion topic.
2. In the Brightspace Editor, click Insert Stuff.

3. On the Insert Stuff pop-up menu that appears, select Panopto Student Submission v1.3 - BHSU.

4. The Insert Stuff pop-up menu will update.  You will have the option to Choose, Upload, or Record.

• Choose- select one of your pre-recorded Panopto videos.
• Upload- upload a pre-recorded video from your computer.
• Record- record your Panopto Video using the Capture (Browser) option.  First, name your recording and then click the Launch Capture button.  A new browser tab will open where you can start your recording.

5. After you have selected one of those three options, click the Insert button on the bottom of the Insert Stuff pop-up menu and then Next.  
6. Follow the remaining steps to submit your assignment or discussion post.
