How can BHSU faculty and staff get their work headshot taken?
Resolution
Faculty and staff at Black Hills State University can have their professional headshots taken or updated during one of our scheduled headshot events listed below.
Headshot events are held at least once per semester and before the start of the academic year. Dates for the upcoming school year are typically announced in August.

Headshots are used in the BHSU website directory, and may also appear in awards, recognitions, and other official university communications.
If you have an urgent need for a headshot outside of the scheduled events, please contact Scott Thornburg at Scott.Thornburg@BHSU.edu to discuss arranging an individual session.
2025-2026 Headshot Dates:
August 20 | 9:00 – 9:45 a.m.
November 11 | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
January 6 | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
March 24 | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
